What’s the big idea?

Deep value contrarian investing - looking for undervalued businesses with reliable cash flow across all financial markets with an incidental focus on small / micro caps particularly in the US, Europe, Taiwan, and China. Predominantly long value equities with small systematic tail-risk hedging - a constant hunt for value with a < 3% yearly US market short position to manage the persistent risk of a catastrophic crash (Long Value, Short Disaster). I also cover special situations, primarily all-cash merger arbitrage when ripe opportunities present themselves. Those windows are often short and as such are tough to cover in a timely fashion in long form articles. I am developing an alert service to address this.
